Who we are looking for

Senior Depositary Team Manager Assistant Vice President (AVP) in the Depositary function plays a key leadership role in overseeing investment monitoring, safeguarding client assets, and ensuring robust compliance with regulatory requirements across a diverse portfolio of funds. This role offers an opportunity to shape operational standards, influence policy development, and act as a senior point of contact for clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

The AVP will drive high quality delivery of oversight activities, strengthen client relationships, and provide subject-matter expertise on investment restrictions, regulatory changes, operational risk, and industry best practice. Experience with derivatives, alternative investment structures, and strong technical and analytical skills will be a distinct advantage.

What you will be responsible for

As a Senior Depositary Team Manager, you will looking after number of areas:


1. Investment & Compliance Monitoring

  • Oversee investment restriction monitoring across UCITS & AIF structures, ensuring timely identification and escalation of breaches.
  • Review complex and derivative-based funds, ensuring portfolios remain within regulatory and prospectus‑defined parameters.
  • Provide expert guidance on investment monitoring methodologies, regulatory interpretations, and market standards.
  • Assess fund administration operating models and perform detailed oversight of NAV processes, valuation methodologies, liquidity, and cash-flow monitoring in line with AIFMD/UCITS requirements.
  • Support enhancements to monitoring tools, data quality initiatives, and automation opportunities.

2. Client & Relationship Management

  • Act as primary senior point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and proactive communication.
  • Lead regular governance calls, due diligence meetings, and service review sessions.
  • Partner with clients to address regulatory developments, operational changes, and emerging industry risks.
  • Provide support during fund launches, mergers, liquidations, and prospectus updates.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with management companies, investment managers, fund administrators, and other key stakeholders.

3. Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality reviews and adherence to deadlines.
  • Set performance objectives, conduct appraisals, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage resource allocation and workflow planning to meet client and regulatory requirements efficiently.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members.

4. Governance, Documentation & Policy

  • Review and comment on draft prospectuses, supplements, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the formulation and enhancement of internal Depositary policies and oversight frameworks.
  • Attend board meetings and present on Depositary activities, findings, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain strong audit readiness and support internal/external audit processes.

5. Operational Excellence & Issue Resolution

  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and enhanced controls.
  • Oversee the timely resolution of operational issues, regulatory queries, and client concerns.
  • Apply strong technical judgement in evaluating complex issues related to derivatives, valuation, liquidity, and custody.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree qualified
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory framework for UCITS and AIFs (AIFMD, UCITS, CBI rules).
  • Minimum 6 experience in Depositary, Fund Administration, Investment Monitoring, or related asset servicing roles.
  • Experience reviewing complex financial instruments, particularly derivatives and alternatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and managing client relationships at a senior level.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills; proficiency with monitoring tools and data analysis platforms an advantage.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Proven capability in identifying efficiencies and driving process improvements.
