Who we are looking for

Global Credit Finance (GCF) is seeking a reconciliations specialist in its Operations team. The role will support all Global Credit Finance products, including Commercial Real Estate, Fund Finance, Leveraged Loans, Municipal Finance and Stable Value Wrap.

Global Credit Finance’s mandate is to attract, support and retain bank clients through the use of our balance sheet and strong rating, and to add income and diversification to State Street's portfolio of on and off-balance sheet investments.

We accomplish this by offering a broad range of products that meet our clients' credit needs, and partner with the Global Clients Division (GCD), Global Relationship Management (GRM), and Sector Sales product sales teams to attract and grow client relationships. As a result, we cultivate and maintain strong long-term relationships with a many of the bank's largest clients.

Responsibilities of the position include performing monthly reconciliations of 350+ general ledger accounts. The person is responsible for maintaining all supporting documents in an auditable manner. The role will work with processing teams to clear exceptions in a timely manner.

Strategic goals will include developing automated processes to support the reconciliations.

What you will be responsible for

• Perform and review reconciliation and certification of 100+ general ledger and cash accounts
• Perform validation between business unit and downstream systems of record
• Format and distribute reporting to data consumers
• Perform daily suspense GL account reconciliations
• Perform daily DDA reconciliations for reporting of cash breaks
• Develop automation to support reconciliation processes
• Work closely with processing teams to clear exceptions in a timely manner
• Collaborate with all GCF stakeholders and partners
• Perform and manage daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation files for lending operations
• Perform GL reconciliation and coordinate with upstream/downstream units to resolve the discrepancy if any
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with operational controls.
• Support process improvements and workflow tool enhancements within reconciliation space

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent or above)
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Systematic understanding of Finance and accounting functions
