IT Outsourcing Senior Business Analyst, Vice President

This regulatory role is essential for fulfilling regulatory necessities to adhere to EBA Outsourcing Guidelines. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for driving the automation and optimization of outsourcing activities, which are currently very manual, error-prone, and only partially covered. Additionally, the role will support the IT Outsourcing Controlling & Oversight function, ensuring that outsourced IT services provided to the bank by both group-internal and external vendors are appropriately overseen. The scope includes all IT outsourcing activities across all branches in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to EBA Outsourcing Guidelines by developing and implementing processes that meet regulatory requirements.
- Process Automation: Identify and drive the automation of manual outsourcing activities to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Optimization: Optimize existing outsourcing processes to enhance accuracy and coverage.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the automated and optimized processes meet regulatory and business requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with EBA guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve outsourcing processes to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.
- IT Outsourcing Oversight: Support the IT Outsourcing Controlling & Oversight function by ensuring outsourced IT services are appropriately overseen.
- Risk Assessment: Support assessing the impact of IT Outsourcing activities, including associated risks, while taking relevant regulations into account (e.g., MaRisk, BAIT).
- Methodology Implementation: Determine and implement additions and changes to the IT Outsourcing methodology in response to new regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA).
- Governance Controls: Maintain and further enhance appropriate IT Outsourcing governance controls, including reporting, service reviews, and escalations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or demonstrable experience within a similar role.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant Financial Services experience with a good understanding of current Outsourcing Banking Regulations and IT Governance principles.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EBA Outsourcing Guidelines and their application to business processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in process automation tools and techniques, as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders. Experience with drafting or reviewing policies and procedures for IT or financial services organizations is also required.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with dual language proficiency in Italian or German preferred.

- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing outsourcing activities in a regulated environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external regulatory bodies.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Good networking abilities locally, across other European legal entities, and at the group level.
- Ability to influence senior management through both personal interactions and the creation and delivery of presentations.
- Ability to solve problems, develop alternative approaches to problems, and resolve conflicts.
- Teamwork and collaboration-oriented with very good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment as well as to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Tenacious self-starter with a keen sense of accountability, ownership, commitment to work, and passion for delivering results.
