Who we are looking for
State Street seeks to recruit a Technology Process & IT Risk Analyst (Assistant Vice President) to support technology risk management activities, and ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of technology‑related processes across the organization. This candidate should have experience delivering outcomes with operational excellence and a focus on the customer and business needs. This candidate should have experience in IT, cybersecurity, or technology risk and a strong understanding of cybersecurity and technology risk frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring risk-based mindset to the role, practical knowledge of industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, FFIEC) and an ability to analyze technology processes, identify gaps, and help drive improvements.
What you will be responsible for
Partner with technology and risk functions and leaders to:
- Assist in reviewing technology standards and control requirements based on authoritative sources and industry frameworks.
- Support the creation and upkeep of process maps, incorporating IT risk considerations and core control points (e.g., privileged access, data flows, logging/monitoring, change management).
- Participate in assessments of existing technology processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and gaps in execution and/or risk mitigation.
- Help document gaps against optimal process effectiveness and assist IT partners in developing remediation actions.
- Support efforts to promote process visibility and accountability across the technology organization.
- Support the development and maintenance of audit‑ready documentation, ensuring processes, controls, and evidence are clearly defined, current, and consistently maintained.

- Strong understanding of IT operations, system interdependencies, and technology risk assessment methodologies across cybersecurity domains.
- Experience applying industry risk and control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT, FFIEC) within business and technology processes.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, and their application within the technology risk dimension and cybersecurity domains.
- Working knowledge of process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS), and general program and project management concepts (e.g., Agile).
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex processes and risk scenarios.
- Curious, adaptable, and intellectually engaged professional with a strong interest in process improvement and controls assurance across global organizations.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services (preferred), supporting IT risk, technology controls, or risk assurance programs.
- Prior experience in conducting IT Audits or tech & cyber risk assessments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to the emerging use of agentic GenAI tools to support technology risk, controls assurance, and governance activities within a regulated environment.
- Relevant industry certifications in cybersecurity, technology risk, or controls assurance (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a plus.
Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office

Minimum Salary:
zł182,004 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
