Role Overview
This Vice President role sits within GAO’s Cash & Deposit Accounting, Transfer Pricing and Tax function. The role combines deep technical accounting expertise, strong operational leadership, and a transformation mindset to drive accuracy, control excellence, and continuous improvement at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end accounting for Cash & Deposit Accounting, Transfer Pricing, and Tax-related balances across daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
- Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and complex transactions in line with US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely month-end close, reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation, and flux analysis.
- Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal Entity Controllers, and Business Finance on transfer pricing recharges, tax accounting, audits, and regulatory matters.
- Maintain a strong control environment including SOX, CCAR, RCSA, and regulatory reporting.
- Act as a key contact for Internal Audit, External Audit, and Regulators.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement in partnership with Finance Technology and Data teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, MBA-Finance, or Master’s in Accounting.
- 12–14+ years of progressive experience in global accounting, R2R, Cash, Transfer Pricing, or Tax within large financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with exposure to statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Experience operating in complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environments.

Technology & Tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion, Essbase, or equivalent.
- Exposure to analytics and reporting tools is a plus.

- Consistent, high-quality close outcomes with strong balance sheet integrity.
- Positive audit and regulatory outcomes with no material findings.
- High confidence from Finance leadership in reported numbers.
- Reduced manual intervention and scalable, efficient processes.
