Corporate Actions Team Leader – Senior Associate
Background: State Street Corporate Actions consists of approximately 900 individuals with presence in 6 locations Globally carrying out an end to end Corporate Action process within both a custody and fund accounting and middle office environment.
Role Purpose: An excellent opportunity has arisen at the senior associate level within Corporate Actions which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the management a team(s) performing day to day query managements for Global clients, work close within Global Corporate actions Custody and Middle Office. This includes the execution of Corporate Actions Instructions, reconciliation and posting of client entitlements for Global markets. Ensuring that all client inquiries, requests, and issues are handled efficiently and professionally. Play a critical role in escalating complex client concerns, ensuring timely resolution, and maintaining client satisfaction.
Role Responsibilities :
Act as an Expert of Client service team providing support and control over complex and time critical corporate action events and transactions.
Collate and review daily reporting
Provide training and coaching to team members
Assist managers by prioritizing the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed
Ensure effective risk management by coordinating or completing end of day management reporting and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of pertinent issues.
Act as a subject matter expert support on projects and initiatives aimed at improving the corporate action product.
Provide coverage in the absence of team member or Manager.
As assigned process and/or resolve complex issues such as, but not limited to analyze and research Corporate actions across the globe
Assist and co-ordinate procedural changes to the current process
Deliver effective client service
Key Knowledge/Qualifications/Experience:
Proven experience in Corporate Actions environment is a must
Understanding of Corporate Action Lifecycle
Knowledge of Swift Messaging Standards
An excellent understanding of the financial services industry
Fluent in written and spoken English and Japanese skill is a plus
Good knowledge of Custody Banking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
Educated to a degree level (preferred)
Experience in supervising a team is an advantage but is not essential.
