Who we are looking for
We are hiring a Digital Asset Operations Senior Manager - GD Cash Specialist to be a cash subject matter expert, participating in workstreams to build digital asset operations within State Street’s infrastructure. You will be responsible for sharing knowledge and expertise around current operational workflows, maintaining alignment to GD Cash leadership, escalating any concerns to functional leadership, acquiring approvals of new models with functional leadership, and maintaining alignment with digital asset operations leadership. We expect this candidate to have a risk excellent mindset and be proficient establishing an effective control environment. The ideal candidate should understand digital asset concepts (blockchain knowledge, understanding of digital asset types, decentralized finance, tokenization, etc). At a minimum this candidate should have intellectual curiosity to learn about digital asset servicing. This role will have a dual reporting line to GD Cash leadership and digital asset operations leadership.

What you will be responsible for
As a Digital Asset Operations Senior Manager - GD Cash Specialist you will:
Participate in workstreams as a cash subject matter expert for digital asset operations across a portfolio of value streams to deliver digital asset capabilities
Foster alignment between value streams, manage interdependencies, and deliver value at an organizational level
Establish risk control procedures to ensure risk excellence across all capabilities
Partner with testing teams to develop, test, and enhance capability development in UAT and Production
Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder communications across the workstream
Provide regular communication and reporting updates to ensure full transparency and clarity of workstream delivery to both the functional leadership teams and digital asset operations leadership teams
Involvement in people management activities, leading a team
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Proficiency in the cash processing lifecycle, including the understanding of SSIs, cash cut-off times, various payment types and how to properly structure different types of payments, cash reconciliations, and the clearing of cash breaks
Knowledge of cash flows and the underlying systems involved throughout the payment lifecycle
Ability to escalate risks and decision points quickly to the appropriate stakeholders, whether that be functional leadership, digital leadership, and/or project leadership
Ability to review and vet a new operating model for viability and alignment to our existing infrastructure
Experience with payment initiation types, such as Fedwire and SWIFT payments
Experience in the multi-year Payments, Cash, and Custody (PCC) strategic development program to modernize and simplify State Street’s core custody technology platforms is preferred; at a minimum, knowledge of what the PCC program is accomplishing
Experience with the migration of State Street Cash Manager to Payment Hub and understanding of the underlying payment initiation applications
Familiarity with payment initiation applications and the ability to perform required functions within the applications
Knowledge of or interest in learning about digital cash, such as stablecoins and tokenized deposits
Experience executing on a project as a critical stakeholder, including excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
7-10 years of experience working in the financial services industry, including people management experience
Ability to excel when faced with the unknown and challenged to develop new methods
Excellent communication and escalation ability
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external stakeholders
Hands-on professional or personal experience with digital assets and wallets, distributed ledger technology, tokenization is preferred
Work requirements:
- Hybrid work model - at least 3 days from the office per week is required
Minimum Salary:
zł182 004 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
