The Operational Resilience Analyst is a role that sits within our COO Enablement, Governance & Control Function, operating as a 1.5 line of defence discipline, assisting the SMF24 in their management and oversight responsibilities and is responsible for supporting on the coordination of the firm’s operational resilience governance framework, in line with defined policy, across all in scope functional areas.
This role reports directly to the Head of Operational Resilience and supports those who have ultimate accountability for operational resilience (SMF 24, their delegate, Head of Enablement, Governance & Control and SMFs/Heads of Business Units that preside over business processes that contribute to Operational Resilience governance & control). It will require working with associates across the firm who have responsibility for operational resilience of their respective business functions.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented analyst to support the governance and control framework underpinning our operational resilience programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to firm-wide risk management practices, contribute to critical control assessments, and support compliance with regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, CSSF, DORA, MAS). In this role you work closely with relevant Business Units, including business and enterprise risk, compliance, legal, technology, business continuity and third-party risk teams to enhance the firm’s resilience to disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to Day Control Framework Support
- Assist in the execution and documentation of daily control activities across operational processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
- Help maintain up-to-date records of control testing, remediation activities, and evidence for regulatory reviews including post-incident reviews and analysis
- Maintain awareness of changes to regulations and guidance impacting resilience (e.g., FCA, CSSF, DORA, MAS)
- Help monitor and update Policies, Procedures, Methodologies, and risk and control artefacts, ensuring they reflect current regulatory expectations and guidance
- Maintain and update the identification and assessment of important business services, including supporting mapping activities and documentation of supporting assets (resiliency questionnaires)
- Support the continuous development and roll out of the Firms Business Resilience training, working with the firms eLearning team as well as classroom training from time to time
- Manage user access and support for TRP’s Business Resilience system, including user training, overall system maintenance, data management, and reporting and analytics.
Policy and Framework Maintenance
- Support alignment between operational resilience and related disciplines such as business continuity, incident management, technology resiliency and third-party risk, both in EMEA & APAC
- Monitor and track overall control performance, identifying potential gaps or weaknesses in process execution.
- Review and update methodologies and execution procedures and checklists
- Support updates and drafting of RSCAs, Self Assessments and memos to evidence execution outcomes, observations and delivery
- Help identify and build out plans for our continuous improvement opportunities
- Attend industry forums, seminars and networks to gain insight into emerging industry standards and bring that knowledge back to the Firm to incorporate best practice into our continuous improvement plans
Governance & Reporting
- Support the coordination and documentation of our Business Resilience Governance Forum, including meeting agendas, minutes, action tracking and follow-up
- Assist in the preparation of management information (MI), risk dashboards, and regulatory reporting for senior risk & business committees and Board reporting
Testing & Scenario Planning
- Support the coordination of resilience testing and scenario exercises, including documentation, stakeholder coordination, and post-exercise review and follow up to drive continuous improvement.
- Help collate and analyse testing results to identify gaps, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities.
Regulatory & Assurance Engagement
- Monitor and summarise updates to relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA PS21/3, CSSF Circulars, DORA, APAC Regulations – MAS Guidelines).
- Support evidence collection and coordination for regulatory reviews or internal audit & assurance assessments
- Maintain centralized document repository, ensuring files are properly ordered and maintained with the correct levels of user access.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a control, risk, compliance, or operational support role ideally with asset management.
- Familiarity with operational process management, operational risk, controls, or compliance in a financial services context (preferred, but not required).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint management;.
- Familiarity with risk tooling (e.g., archer, servicenow, ruleguard and similar applications) and MI tools such as tableau and an interest in Artificial Intelligence tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, or a related field an advantage
