The Senior Fixed Income Project Manager will play a pivotal role in a large-scale, strategic transformation program to remodel and enhance our Fixed Income capabilities to maintain current capabilities and support new business growth. Working alongside seasoned investors and transformation & technology professionals, the individual will be part of a focused team to define and deliver enhanced and new capabilities to provide a cohesive future state operating model.
The role requires a detailed understanding of fixed income in an asset management firm, and proven experience in defining and delivering business processes and technology solutions in partnership with professionals across the front office. The successful candidate will also need excellent presentation skills to communicate effectively and succinctly to senior stakeholders, be detail oriented, very hands on and have experience of leading activities such as workshops whilst working collaboratively with a broad range of key business staff.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively, with business and technology teams and stakeholders, to define project outcomes, create and manage project roadmaps and plans along with other detailed project artefacts, and drive execution
- Actively build subject matter expertise across T. Rowe Price’s fixed income functions and systems to positively influence outcomes
- Lead collaborative partnerships and dialog with related business units beyond Fixed Income, building excellent working relationships with teams as required
- Lead and facilitate detailed discussions and meetings, ensuring they are task oriented and objective driven to ensure the efficient use of participants’ time
- Actively promote alignment and compliance with overlapping strategic programs and projects across data, order management and accounting
- Produce clear, concise and accurate presentation materials for use in various forums, with detail appropriate to the audience
- Continually update the Program Managers, Program Director and business stakeholders of progress, and raise issues as soon as encountered.
- Ensure proposed solutions are practical and meet the success parameters and business objectives
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 10+ years Asset Management experience.
- 5+ years proven Front Office Investment Management Fixed Income experience as a FI SME, successfully delivering projects.
- Detailed working knowledge of fixed income instruments and derivatives, including pricing, analytics, trading and uses in portfolio management.
- Proven experience of working directly with investors in the asset management industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and being able to work with people across multiple locations.
- Experience of facilitating meetings with stakeholders to gather information, review and present findings and solve key issues.
- Well organized and self-motivated
- Ability to work well with people with varying technical, business and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Very good experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Ability to translate and simplify complex business and technical concepts.
- Preparing and running detailed workshops.
- Comfortable working with executive management
- Ability to manage multiple medium and large projects.
- Effective at delivering high quality output under time constraints.
Preferred:
- Proven Project Management experience.
- Experience of leading a team of business analysts, oversee the creation of business requirements documents and other detailed documentation in a major front office strategic program.
- Experience managing and presenting to senior sponsors.
- Excellent Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint skills.
- Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal.
- Soft skills to navigate a complex global working environment.
- A university degree.
- A project management and/or business analysis qualification (CBAP, BCS, PMP, Prince II, etc.)
