The Investment AI Solutions Manager is responsible for developing a team of Investment AI Solutions Analysts while partnering closely with investors, technologists, and data leaders across the firm. This role provides leadership and direction for the design, deployment, and operationalization of agentic AI solutions, ensuring they are aligned with investment priorities and business objectives. These solutions enhance every facet of the investment process, from research discovery and portfolio construction to risk analysis and client engagement.

As a people leader, you will guide teams of investors, AI engineers, technologists, and architects, ensuring strong alignment between investment goals and execution. You will help advance the next era of investment management by enabling autonomous systems that reason, plan, and act in collaboration with human investors. Under your leadership, these systems will drive superior investment outcomes, unlock new opportunities, improve decision velocity, and redefine how institutional investors generate and scale insight.

Responsibilities

Drive Execution of AI Strategy

  • Build and lead a team capable of delivering agents that understand financial context, retrieve relevant knowledge, and generate research-grade outputs that enhance the work of investors.
  • Manage the portfolio of active AI initiatives across Investments, including internal builds, pilots, and vendor integrations.
  • Define the product roadmap, assess feasibility, and establish accountability in close partnership with stakeholders.
  • Maintain an agile program that experiments with cutting-edge concepts, failing fast when appropriate and scaling successful outcomes.

Build Strategic Relationships with Leadership

  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders on progress, including adoption metrics, success stories, and impact assessments.
  • Advise leadership on program feasibility, implementation strategies, and AI capabilities across Investments.
  • Deliver on program objectives that drive efficiency gains and build enduring competitive advantages.
  • Monitor execution, flag risks, and coordinate across internal teams to ensure intermediate milestones are achieved.

Advance the Next Generation of Investment Intelligence

  • Ideate on the future of investment management by piloting reimagined workflows and evolving investor and client interactions.
  • Partner directly with analysts, portfolio managers, and investment leadership to identify, prioritize, and shape AI use cases that improve research and portfolio management efficiency.
  • Work across Investment, Data Science, and Technology teams to deliver AI-native capabilities that modernize T. Rowe Price’s investment platform.
  • Lead workflow transformations that translate complex processes into intelligent, agentic solutions.

Lead the Development of Agentic Systems

  • Manage analysts responsible for developing and deploying agentic architectures that integrate LLMs, quantitative models, enterprise data pipelines, and real-time reasoning systems.
  • Continuously evolve team structures and capacity models to optimize delivery and utilization.
  • Own the safety, security, and reliability of agentic systems through robust guardrails, compliance checks, and observability frameworks in production investment environments.
  • Maintain industry-leading awareness of emerging AI technologies, agentic design patterns, and best practices relevant to investment management.

Success Measures

  • Strength and breadth of relationships across the Investment organization.
  • Measurable productivity gains from agentic workflows.
  • Demonstrated contribution to improved investment results and incremental revenue generation.
  • Ideation, design, and execution of next-generation investment management capabilities.

Qualifications

Required

  • B.S. in Finance, Economics, or quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field).
  • Leadership experience driving technology and investment teams.
  • Proficiency in programming (R or Python) and familiarity with agentic AI systems and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or LangGraph).
  • Exceptional skills in prompt engineering, assessing use cases for agentic feasibility, and converting complex workflows into logical, step-by-step tasks.
  • Strong track record of innovation and problem-solving to find creative technical solutions to new and unforeseen business problems.
  • Ability to travel to support deployments across the global organization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex AI and investment concepts for diverse audiences.
  • 7+ years’ experience with financial modeling, portfolio construction, trading, or investment management workflows.

Preferred

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI systems (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or LangGraph) and enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
  • Experience working with or evaluating third-party data, research, or AI technology vendors.
  • 15+ years’ experience with financial modeling, portfolio construction, trading, or investment management workflows.
  • Awareness of advanced retrieval-augmented generation and multi-agent systems.
  • Certifications such as:
    • Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate
    • SnowPro® Specialty: Gen AI
    • AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate
    • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
  • CFA charterholder or active candidate.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
