Role Summary
Owns product area focused on applied AI and automation capabilities embedded across external, client-facing digital platforms for sponsors, advisors, and participants. Establishes and maintains a long-term, sequenced product roadmap that delivers near-term client value while expanding intelligence, personalization, and capability over time, in partnership and alignment with the firm’s enterprise AI strategy.
Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives across B2B and B2C experiences, including AI-powered virtual assistants, conversational analytics, and intelligent reporting. Owns outcomes end-to-end, from initial definition and compliant launch through expansion and optimization. Operates with clear decision ownership, accountability for results, and disciplined execution.
Responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy:
- Defines and owns the product vision and roadmap for applied AI capabilities across sponsor, advisor, and participant digital experiences.
- Partners with the enterprise GenAI team to align product strategy and roadmap with firmwide AI priorities, shared capabilities, and related business unit initiatives.
- Translates enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans that modernize external digital experiences and strengthen competitive differentiation.
- Sequences delivery to balance client value, regulatory readiness, and long-term scalability.
- Anticipates shifts in AI capabilities, user expectations, and market offerings and adjusts direction accordingly.
Client-Facing Digital Experience Ownership:
- Leads AI-driven experience enhancements that simplify complex retirement information and surface relevant insights.
- Ensures early releases focus on compliant guidance and decision support, with later releases introducing deeper personalization and proactive insights.
- Partners with Product Design and UX to embed AI responsibly into front-end digital tools.
- Positions AI-enabled tools as primary digital interfaces where appropriate.
Execution and Adoption:
- Drives results through clear ownership, prioritization, and disciplined execution across cross-functional teams.
- Establishes success metrics tied to adoption, engagement, satisfaction, efficiency, and risk.
- Monitors performance and adjusts scope and sequencing to ensure sustained value.
Governance and Portfolio Oversight:
- Manages a portfolio of AI initiatives and vendor relationships, making informed tradeoffs across scope, timing, and investment.
- Coordinates with the enterprise GenAI team and other business units to ensure applied AI capabilities align with firm standards, shared services, and cross-BU investments.
- Partners with compliance, risk, and security teams to ensure solutions meet governance and regulatory standards.
- Ensures AI capabilities are delivered in alignment with enterprise policies as functionality and scale evolve.
- Builds alignment across product, design, engineering, data, and operations to support compliant and sustainable delivery.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or closely related roles delivering complex digital products at enterprise scale.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives across business, technology, data, and risk, with accountability for outcomes.
- Ability to translate business strategy and client needs into prioritized product roadmaps and executable delivery plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort making tradeoffs in ambiguous, regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of modern AI technologies, including generative AI and large language models, and their practical business applications.
- Experience driving adoption of new digital capabilities through clear value propositions, performance metrics, and iterative delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or another regulated industry.
- Exposure to AI-powered digital products such as virtual assistants, conversational interfaces, analytics, or automation tools.
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices, data governance, and model risk considerations.
- Experience working with external vendors or platforms supporting AI-enabled solutions.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$122,000.00 - $209,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$135,000.00 - $230,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$153,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
