Primary Purpose of the Position

The Singapore Undergraduate Internship Program at T. Rowe Price presents undergraduate students with a challenging and rewarding opportunity to launch and advance a career in the asset management industry. Interns will receive comprehensive training, dedicated mentoring, and hands-on experience performing tasks across various functional areas in the firm’s APAC Operational. This program is specifically designed for candidates with a strong technical background and a keen interest in Generative AI (GenAI) applications and Power BI. The selected intern will have the opportunity to address real business challenges and drive operational enhancements.

Key Components of the Internship Experience

• Firm Integration: Interns will have the chance to build their professional network and interact with experienced employees across the organization. This exposure allows them to gain practical work experience and deepen their understanding of both T. Rowe Price and the broader asset management industry.

• Immersion in Investment Operations: Interns will work on impactful projects and have opportunity to present their work to senior stakeholders, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.

• Mentorship: The program includes targeted training and mentoring to develop the essential skills required for success, alongside valuable exposure to APAC Operations within the asset management business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with APAC Operations and business teams to identify and analyze operational challenges.

• Participate in data gathering, cleansing, and modeling to support business needs.

• Apply Generative AI and automation techniques to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Support the team in documenting GenAI processes and findings.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights.

• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

• Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities provided by T. Rowe Price.

• Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the APAC Operations team.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and a good team player

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, and Generative AI applications, along with an inquisitive mindset and ability to question, validate, and analyze data and processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Eagerness to learn about the asset management industry and T. Rowe Price.
