Role Summary

The Wealth Management Director- Internal Go-to-Market provides enterprise-level ownership for across Individual Investors (II) and Retirement Plan Services (RPS). This role is accountable for translating strategy into an executable operating model that enables scalable advice adoption and revenue growth.

Operating within the Wealth Management Strategy & Transformation team, this leader sets direction, frames decisions, and drives outcomes for internal go-to-market execution without replacing product, technology, or operations delivery teams. The role ensures alignment across distribution channels, operating models, and enabling capabilities to support a unified advice growth engine.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Go-to-Market Strategy & Ownership:

  • Own internal go-to-market readiness for components of the wealth management and growth strategies, ensuring alignment across II, RPS, and Advice teams.
  • Translate strategy into operating model implications, including workflows, handoffs, and service models.
  • Define and implement sequencing and readiness gating across major initiatives and releases.

Strategic Leadership & Decision Framing:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on operating model trade-offs, including incentives, capacity, and channel alignment.
  • Frame decisions on how to activate advice across workplace and retail channels to maximize growth.
  • Develop frameworks to align KPIs, incentives, and performance metrics across business units.

Cross-Functional Orchestration & Delivery Oversight:

  • Lead orchestration across II, RPS, Marketing, Technology, HR, and Compliance to enable execution.
  • Drive alignment on roles, decision rights, and accountability across teams.
  • Ensure dependencies (data sharing, advisor capacity, technology readiness) are identified and resolved.

Operating Model & Change Enablement:

  • Redesign workflows and processes to support modular advice delivery and scalable onboarding.
  • Lead change management, including communication, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Establish measurement frameworks tied to funnel performance (e.g., conversion, rollover capture, advice adoption).
  • Ensure internal teams are prepared for future-state implications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in operating model design, go-to-market strategy, or transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and execution planning capabilities.
  • Experience managing ambiguity and driving structured outcomes.

Preferred:

  • Experience in wealth management, retirement, or financial services distribution models.
  • Expertise in incentive design, KPI development, and performance management.
  • Experience with II/RPS or workplace-retail integration.
  • Background in large-scale transformation or change management initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of advisor operating models and client journey design.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$159,000.00 - $272,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$175,000.00 - $299,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$199,000.00 - $339,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
