Business Solution Design Analyst Senior

Role Summary: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of design and analysis methodologies and applies these to identify and solve problems. Recommends solutions and leads efforts to address complex challenges and scale, simplify and grow the business. Develops in-depth domain expertise, and partners with the business to deliver solutions. Generally focused on efforts that span multiple capabilities and functions, and of moderate to significant scope and complexity, usually with multiple stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
Problem Solving & Solutioning
Define and analyse complex problems incorporating people, process, technology and data. Identify root causes, generation creative solutions and make sound decisions that optimize value, mitigate risk, understand dependencies and impact, and anticipate future state needs.
Able to see opportunities to use existing data more comprehensively as part of process design and/or ways to turn info information into data that can enable automation/business insights.
Involves critical thinking on key stages from problem identification, information gathering, solution generation and design, decision making and solution implementation.
Conducts critical root cause assessment through in-depth end-to-end research and analysis and ensures that root problems are solved by facilitating the process of defining business solutions
Translates business data and concepts into actionable insights by using quantitative methods and developing statistical models to derive actionable insights, patterns and outcomes from data
Designs and prototypes business models that enhance and extend associate experiences
Ensures viability of new concepts are thoroughly considered, forecasts and simulates the impact of changes, and validates the strategic direction through data
Curious about new technologies and AI and can demonstrate how they can be leveraged to optimise the business.
Conducts technology evaluations and experiments to examine technology platforms and capabilities
Documents hypotheses, narratives and uses cases, results and conclusions. May seek guidance from more senior team members or technology partners
Develops and executes change management and organizational strategies to assist partners in pivoting to their future business state
Project / Team Leadership
Delivers workstreams within a project or small initiatives with some guidance and oversight.
Performs project management activities, such as tracking deliverables, creating status reports, managing resource plans and monitoring successful achievement of project goals
Leads business solution strategic design effort on small to medium projects, or workstreams of large projects and programs; may also formally or informally lead project team members
Works with Managers to identify ambiguity and methods to work through it.
Influence and Stakeholder Management
Collaborates with multiple stakeholders in shaping solutions through changes in strategy, organization, and business processes, and influences those stakeholders towards solutions that best support the strategic direction.
Partners with IO teams to integrate, stabilize and continuously improve processes to realize efficiencies and mitigate risk to enable scale in existing operation
Helps partners to digitally enable their capabilities to operate more efficiently and produce measurable data to constantly assess the health of the function
Domain Knowledge
Builds domain expertise to support project and functional partnership
Asks the right questions to learn about how project outcomes can support the business objectives.
Develops foundational understanding of Investment Operations and surrounding end-to-end processes.
Develops understanding of current market trends and processes and shares knowledge to further develop junior colleagues
Deepen knowledge of solution design methodologies such as Design Thinking, Data-Centric Design or Lean Thinking
Is a continuous learner who seeks to deepen technical and business knowledge and proactively shares that knowledge with others
Developing Talent
Shares knowledge on individual areas of expertise and experiences.
Serves as a positive role model for other associates
Provides direction to other associates and assists them in completing their assignments
Coaches and mentors associates within the department to perform quality checks and verifies work prepared by other associates
Participates in the training and development of other associates. Provides feedback to managers regarding special training requirements for associates

Actively contributes to the culture and advancement of BTS.
Contributes to creating an environment that fosters new ways of thinking, the development of new ideas and continuous improvement to existing processes and ways of working
Instills a business agility and innovation mindset across IO through engagements and projects, in addition to formal training, mentoring and presentations
Proactively researches and understands relevant business and technology trends and develops recommendations regarding the use of strategy, business and operating model approaches and standards, including emerging and disruptive technology
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
