“I can succeed as a Core Operations Analyst at Capital Group.”

As a Core Operations Analyst on the Account Enablement team, you will support the setup and ongoing maintenance of Capital Group’s Retail products, Institutional/Separate accounts, SMA products, and PCS client accounts. You will develop into a broad subject matter expert across key platforms within the team’s remit, including (but not limited to) BlackRock Aladdin, DTCC ALERT, FX Connect, FXall, Tradeweb, and Market Axess.

In this role, you will serve as a primary reviewer for the Account Enablement space, acting as a critical quality and risk control by applying a meticulous, highly detail‑oriented lens to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards across all work. You bring strong problem‑solving capabilities and an exceptionally sharp eye for detail, along with the curiosity, sound judgment, and action‑oriented mindset required to navigate complex or ambiguous—often first‑time—situations. You will quickly develop proficiency in leveraging our systems to research, thoroughly diagnose, and resolve operational issues with precision and consistency. You will help lead centralized operational issue triage and resolution, working closely with custodian banks and other third‑party providers, client‑facing partners, and internal Capital Group teams.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of the financial services industry; experience supporting Retail and Institutional Separate accounts is a plus
  • Comfortable learning primarily on the job through collaboration with peers, managers, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and leverage relationships to navigate complex and ambiguous situations across multiple CG teams
  • Strong ability to balance business needs and client expectations, delivering efficient, scalable solutions while maintaining a customized client experience
  • Exceptionally well organized, with experience managing fast‑paced work involving broad internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for continuous improvement, including enhancing, creating, and documenting processes to support knowledge transfer and business continuity
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as business needs require

Preferred / Ideal Candidate Skillset

Technical & Systems Expertise

  • Experience working with trading and post‑trade platforms such as:
    • Aladdin
    • FX Connect / FXall
    • Tradeweb
    • MarketAxess
    • DTCC ALERT

(or similar financial market infrastructure platforms)

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex systems, operating models, and workflows

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Building and analyzing pivot tables
    • Using Power Query for data transformation
    • Applying VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, and related formulas
    • Working accurately with large datasets (50,000+ rows)
  • Experience developing reporting or dashboards in Power BI (or similar BI tools) to support analysis, risk monitoring, and decision‑making

Risk, Process & Execution Mindset

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong risk‑aware mindset, proactively identifying potential issues, gaps, or control risks
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high‑risk, high‑expectation environments, where accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication are critical
  • Strong process‑ and results‑driven orientation, with experience improving, standardizing, and documenting processes to reduce operational risk and improve scalability
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving environments, independently assessing issues and driving solutions across stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality—accountable for outcomes, follows work through to completion, and escalates risks appropriately

Orange County Base Salary Range: $102,330-$163,728

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
