"I can succeed as a Core Operations Analyst Lead"

The Account Enablement – Trade Operations role is a hybrid role that brings together two critical areas of Investment Operations: Account Enablement and Trade Operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and is motivated by solving problems across teams. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners, external service providers, custodians, brokers, Trading teams, Legal, Technology, and other Investment Operations teams to ensure account and trade-related activities are managed accurately, efficiently, and with strong risk discipline.

We are looking for someone who brings a strong can-do attitude, is willing to learn on the job, and can adapt as the needs of the business evolve. Just as importantly, this individual should be open to new ways of working, including the use of technology, automation, data, and AI to improve processes, strengthen controls, and create capacity for higher-value work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the setup, onboarding, maintenance, restructuring, and termination of Capital Group accounts across global markets.

• Help manage unique country, market, client, and account-specific requirements by partnering with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform and/or oversee day-to-day trade operations activities, including trade confirmation, settlement, failed trade management, foreign exchange funding, claims, private placements, restriction removals, and account or fund changes.

• Ensure transactions and account changes are handled accurately and in line with global trading, client, regulatory, and external market requirements.

• Apply a strong quality and control mindset to ensure market openings, account maintenance, and trade-related activities are completed accurately, completely, and within expected timelines.

Risk, Issue and Exception Management

• Analyze reports, system exceptions, and breaks between internal and external systems, including broker and custodian platforms.

• Identify, assess, and resolve operational risks such as missed deadlines, trade or confirmation discrepancies, incomplete account setup, control gaps, financial exposure, or client-impacting issues.

• Partner with Trading, Legal, Technology, Investment Operations, and external parties to resolve issues in a timely and practical manner.

• Escalate risks appropriately based on urgency, impact, complexity, and potential client or business exposure.

• Support strong operational governance by ensuring issues are clearly communicated, documented, tracked, and resolved with sustainable outcomes.

Process Improvement, Technology and AI Mindset

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve, simplify, standardize, and scale operational processes.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase straight-through processing, reduce manual touchpoints, improve controls, and create capacity for the team.

• Explore how technology, automation, data, and AI tools can be used responsibly to improve decision-making, enhance risk monitoring, and support more efficient workflows.

• Partner with Technology and other teams to support system enhancements, testing, procedure updates, training, and readiness for new products, capabilities, regulatory changes, or process improvements.

• Be curious and open-minded about new tools and ways of working, while maintaining strong judgment around risk, governance, and appropriate use.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

• Work as part of a global team and build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.

• Collaborate effectively with peers, managers, stakeholders, and business partners to diagnose issues, solve problems, and move work forward.

• Share knowledge and contribute to team learning, business continuity, and cross training across Account Enablement and Trade Operations.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, including explaining the “why” behind issues, risks, decisions, and recommended actions.

• Contribute positively to a team culture built on trust, inclusion, adaptability, ownership, and continuous learning.
