Description of Position
This role will focus on partnership accounting for various entities maintained by the General Partner Accounting Services team. The Senior Associate assists in leading the quarterly close process and has a significant role in preparation of reconciliations and schedules within a SOX compliant environment.This role requires a large amount of collaboration among both internal teams and multiple external service providers in a fluid environment.
Principal Responsibilities
- Quarterly closing process of multiple entities within both coinvest and promote structures
- Capture non-standard, complex journal entries and review standard journal entries
- Prepare quarterly reconciliations – cash, tax, intercompany, AR, AP
- Perform complex allocation calculations with high degree of accuracy
- Respond to requests from partners, auditors and
- Coordinate setup of new entities and liquidations/dissolutions of entities across a multitude of teams
- Participate in projects throughout the year aimed at driving transformation and scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 4+ years of experience in accounting
- Experience in SOX environment, Private Equity, Partnership Accounting, Corporate Accounting or with GP/Equity Compensation programs is distinguishing
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills with comfortability working with large datasets
- Strong strategic and innovative thinker who seeks out process improvements
- Ability to produce polished and customer ready deliverables with minimal oversight
- Deadline driven; self-motivated, adaptive learner able to perform with accuracy in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Maintain hybrid work schedule based out of TPG’s Ft. Worth office
