Your role

We are looking for a Testing Engineer in the Digital Security crew of our Private and Corporate client ecosystem to :
• learn about and understand the software under test
• analyse the software and business requirements and design tests to cover the functionality and while doing so:
• have client in mind at all steps
• consider all quality aspects
• consider all test levels
• consider functional and non-functional aspects
• where appropriate and together with development team - design, engineer and maintain test automation on all levels of testing pyramid to defend integrity and security of application with these in mind:
• follow the 70% - 20% - 10% guidance with 70% of tests as low-level unit-tests; 20% integration tests and only 10% of end to end or UI based tests.
• comply with UBS test strategy and testing standards
• contribute to reduction of all security and operational risks, in line with policies and standards
• participating in risk analysis and threat modelling activities to identify potential security vulnerabilities
• identify opportunities to improve our processes
• communicate within the Scrum team to ensure that the requirements are understood and implemented correctly

Your team

You’ll be joining a growing Digital Security team, specifically working for our Wealth Management Private and Corporate clients. You’ll be working in Pune and will be responsible for delivering solutions globally. We are responsible for developing, maintaining and strategically transforming the application portfolio in close collaboration with our business sponsors. We follow Agile methodology to efficiently handle the development and delivery of technology solutions. You would join an international, agile team including developers, requirements engineers, architects and product owners.

Your expertise

As a Test Engineer, you should have at least 5 years of experience and you offer :
• strong analytics skills and ability to learn quickly about the software under test
• automation experience using Java with the knowledge of Selenium Test Environment (STE) and the ability to configure it
• experience with testing tools like Jira, Xray, Gitlab, Selenium, Swagger etc
• solid understanding of security concepts
• strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly about the software under test
• inquisitive, able to challenge effectively and manage conflicting stakeholder needs
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• design, engineer and maintain test automation on all levels to testing pyramid to defend integrity and security of application.
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platform and standards, evaluate options and make decisions with long term sustainability in mind
