Your role

Are you a strategic, solution-oriented thinker and an excellent team player? Do you have a proven track record in dealing with challenging conversations with High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and handling administrative work with meticulousness?

We’re looking for a Client Account Manager (AO) in our bank to join Special Client Situation Desk which deal with clients with compliance issues as well as clients whom the Bank has deemed outside our target market.

We are looking for someone who:
• Will assist the SCSD Client Advisors in managing sensitive accounts.
• Likes challenges, self-motivated, independent, innovative, and able to think strategically with a clear mind under pressure.
• Is empathetical, shows interest in KYC and cultural sensitivity, willing to engage both internal stakeholders and clients constructively and delivers a good client experience.
• Is organized, meticulous, and able to handle large volumes of client servicing and meet deadlines.
• Loves collaboration and building network within the Bank and builds well-rounded knowledge in dealing with all clients’ special situations across all markets.
• Has an acute sense of risk management and displays a high-standard risk-based approach when dealing with complex issues.
• Eager to improvise and sees this front-line role as an opportunity to contribute and update Bank risk management and other SOPs.

Your team

You will be working with a team of 1 MTH, 4 CAs and 2 CAMs to execute the mandate of SCSD Hong Kong. Our mission is to be an effective front-line desk which supports and protects the Bank’s business by delivering an excellent client experience as well as executing a high-quality risk management for all banking relationships assigned to SCSD.

Your expertise

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal stakeholders and external clients across all markets.
• A high standard of risk management approach for all complex issues (e.g. no tipping off)
• Have an acute sense of common sense to detect the unusual requests/activity patterns from the clients.
• Able to work collaboratively to ensure team approach to provide best possible solution.
• Has a good grasp of banking products (especially legacy ones), general regulatory frameworks and compliance guidelines for all markets in UBS AG Singapore.
• A vast network within the Bank to support dealing with complex cases.
• Mandarin, Cantonese and English fluency is needed
• HKMA License 1 is necessary
