Your role

• Be part of the APAC Collateral and Cash Management team in Hong Kong
• Understand the F2B operational risks and responsible for the service delivery of day to day ETD and OTC and collateral management function for Asia Pacific
• Work closely with Funding Team and Business to ensure smooth payments and margining booking process and controls on margin movements and pledging activities and to meet tight CCPs deadlines.
• Perform front-to-back controls to ensure collateral position and trades are properly reconciled
• Margin CCPs for SGX, JSCC and ASX, and be aware about how the CCP margins work and understand the differences between various CCP’s
• Review the legal documentation governing the trading and collateralization of products, and interpreting regulatory and market initiatives in this fast changing banking environment
• Engage with external clients and internal partners (Client Service, Tax, Compliance, Treasury and Finance, etc...) to provide operational support and independent advice on margin flow and operational risks
• Proactively identify and address control gaps, perform regular control assessment and review controls and process mappings
• Participate in process enhancements, optimization initiatives and business enablement, and the associated testing on system changes, be able to manage complicated booking models across different booking entities

Your team

You'll be working in the APAC Collateral and Cash Management team in Hong Kong. We support the trading activities of the APAC IB business. We are a dynamic team with a strong collaborative culture.


We are primarily responsible for the service delivery of margin and collateral management for Asia Pacific across wide range of products in including Centrally Cleared and Non-Centrally Cleared OTC derivatives, Exchange Traded Derivative, Prime Brokerage, Repo and Securities Lending with the purpose of covering UBS' exposure which could have the potential for counterparty default, and also fulfilling margin rules and regulatory requirements.

Your expertise

You have:
• Preferable having 3-5+ year of experience in people management and a strong SME in collateral or liquidity management functions
• An understand of the CCPs margin rules and account structure
• A good lead to drive automation and efficiency by excellent teamwork and cross-team collaboration
• Good working knowledge of Excel. Some VBA knowledge will be beneficial
• A pragmatic "can do" attitude and risk mindset
• Full accountability to take ownership and drive team goals

• A self-starter who can learn and apply new knowledge very quickly
• Able to work under pressure, adaptable and with strong interpersonal skills
• A dedicated team player who collaborates well with different functions from different locations
