We’re looking for an Integrated Middle Office Specialist to:
• provide operational support for Structured Fund and SPV activity from initial launch to final redemption, and all lifecycle events including subscription/redemption processing
• handle securitization related activities, including trade issuance and lifecycle processing. Engage external parties (i.e. Fund Admin, Custodian, Paying Agent etc.) and internal partners (Sales & Trading, Settlements & Confirmation, Legal, Finance, etc.) to provide operational support and independent advice on related processes
• review and resolve complex trade issues and acting as a bridge between stakeholders, such as Business, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and external parties
• analyse internal workflows across the product offering and work with internal partners to design and implement operational improvements
• support on-going improvement projects, drive process enhancements, participate in new business initiatives and user testing
• comprehend the risk and control framework for processes followed within Middle Office and ensure relevant controls are adhered to
• assist in production of daily / monthly / quarterly regulatory reports and perform daily control checks to ensure day-to-day process are compliant with regulations. Handle exceptions management of our reporting activities. Work with project teams and internal governance teams (COO/Compliance/IT) on new regulatory requirements

Your team

You’ll be working in the Integrated Middle Office in Hong Kong: The team provides bespoke support activities including trade inception, life cycle processing, controls monitoring, fee processing, finance reporting and financial audit.

Integrated Middle Office is primarily responsible for supporting various QIS Structured Fund and SPV business in APAC. The team works would include maintenance of the full trade lifecycle from inception to termination / maturity with internal and external stakeholders. We are also responsible for monitoring key controls to ensure there is a complete and accurate front to back activities. Each member of the team is expected to balance business-as-usual line tasks, while engaging in tactical and strategic enhancements to booking flows, processes, and controls.

Your expertise

• Bachelors/Master’s degree or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience working in IB operations, Cash Equity, Derivatives middle office, settlement, or related areas
• have general knowledge of front to back processes for Structured Fund and SPV products.
• ability to pick up new tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment
• good working knowledge of Excel, possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• pragmatic "can do" attitude and risk mindset, full accountability to take ownership and drive improvements
• self-starter who can learn and apply new knowledge very quickly
• dedicated team player who collaborates well with different functions
• good communicator, who can confidently convey information, both written and verbal, appropriately at all levels with stakeholders
• highly responsible, self-motivated, efficient and work well under pressure
