Your role

Join us as a Windows Server and Cloud Computing solutions subject matter expert to test and certify our IT engineered products, ensuring that they operate as designed and integrate when deployed into our production environments.

We’re looking for an Windows Server Subject Matter Expert (IT Quality & Test Engineer) to:
• Create test plans, test cases / test automation approaches, test scripts, with a focus on automation.
• Lead a team of 10+ testers for validating server OS builds, patching, and VMware/Cloud platform testing.
• Design and implement test strategies for OS performance, compatibility, and security compliance
• Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Automation Framework.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation testing, regression testing, and monthly hotfix validation for Microsoft Platforms and operating systems.
• Contribute to end-to-end software development and testing lifecycle.
• Challenge the status quo, innovate and participate in the quality engineering journey.
• Make a comprehensive analysis of any errors found. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, release managers and developers to troubleshoot issues.
• Generate test reports and status to be shared across multiple levels.
• Comply with defined testing strategies, testing standards, templates and associated test plans.
• Be a part of the dynamic Quality Engineering team, working closely with the engineering team to cater to high priority and critical systems.

Your team

You will be working in the TS Quality Engineering team based in our Pune office. We analyze, develop and deliver global testing solutions for our IT systems, in partnership with our business counterparts. As an Windows Server SME (IT Quality & Test Engineer) you will play a key role in ensuring the development methodology is followed. Your expertise

Should include:
• 8+ years of experience in functional, non-functional and automation testing
• Strong hands-on experience in:
o Supporting and debugging MS Windows Server, MS Clustering, backup technologies, SCCM, Container, storage and security
o Cloud Computing solutions (On-prem & Off-prem), IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, particularly experience with MS Azure, ADO pipelines.
o Test automation frameworks / patterns: Robot Framework, Cucumber, Selenium, Page Object
o REST API testing: SoapUI, Postman
o VMware & Private Cloud Management
o MS Defender, Tanium
• Test environment creation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Vulnerability assessment.
• Good understanding and experience in CI / CD pipeline setup using GitLab.
• Proficiency in Python programming language, Bash scripting.
• Knowledge and experience of working with Agile delivery methodologies, TDD & BDD
• Test and defect management lifecycle.
• Development and execution of maintainable automation tests for functional, non-functional and regression test cases
• Investigating and debugging test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary and providing test coverage analysis based on automation results.
• Passion for driving new ideas and standards.
• Strong collaboration skills for handling conflicts / team challenges with positive approach.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning capability.
• Should be a team player who can collaborate well with developers, business analysts and other team members.
• Should be a strong communicator who can present technical ideas to team members and other stakeholders.


Good to have:
• Knowledge of MS SQL, .Net, MS Defender,.
• Non-functional testing skills such as Load / Performance testing, BCM and recovery testing.
