Your role

As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support our Fund Administration operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and tools for Fund Administration.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Optimize and enhance existing systems to improve performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Your team

Fund Admin is a business critical program which serves as IT provider for the niche Asset Servicing business for the organization. Environment Management Team within Fund Admin Program, who’s mandate is to migrate the CS applications to UBS including supporting the strategic business initiatives from IT side.
You will be working with team of DevOps experts and IT developers across various technology stack including python.

Your expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Python development, with a focus on backend systems.
• Experience with Django or Flask frameworks including Pandas, Matplotlib
• Experience with financial systems and knowledge of financial instruments.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
