Your role

We are looking for someone who can:

• Help lead and execute digitally focused strategic initiatives for residential and commercial Mortgage lending in both a current and new digital bank environment
• Help drive the vision, strategy and objectives for the Bank’s residential and commercial Mortgage business and platform
• Assist in ownership of new business initiatives ensuring appropriate coordination and prioritization of key deliverables and successful navigation through the Bank governance processes
• Partner with digital and technology teams to integrate our lending/liability solutions into our client and field experience to drive growth and penetration across product and platforms
• Establish cadence and coordination across technology, digital and business on new development execution and create, maintain, and execute communication plans on business initiatives and platform changes
• Continuously review the mortgage product offering and recommend and implement new product developments to drive growth
• Facilitate and/or create strategic communications regarding the Mortgage product offering for Financial Advisors, internal stakeholders and clients
• Help with the coordination of the residential and commercial Mortgage business framework for ownership and accountability of financial and non-financial risks throughout the lending lifecycle by identifying, assessing, and managing risks consistent with BUSA’s established RAS principles
• Participate in the front-line business risk forums by contributing when necessary to the financial and non-financial risk reporting, agenda, and presentations that provide insight into key data points for performance and risk
• Assist the business in adhering to BUSA risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures developing, reviewing, or amending 1LOD applicable policies and procedures aligned with the risk governance framework
• Execute complex mortgage reporting and analytics as well as streamline and automate current reporting
• Management presentation support for the residential and commercial Mortgage team

Your team

You’ll be joining the Residential Mortgage Product Team in Weehawken, NJ. Our team is responsible for managing the residential mortgage offering for high-net-worth UBS clients and employees.

Your expertise

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent, with an advanced degree (preferred)
• Ideally 5 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial mortgage loan originations, operations or secondary markets with a strong understanding of various mortgage products OR business and financial analysis
• OR ideally 5 years’ experience in product management, operations or Mortgage business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow with a general knowledge business risk functions including knowledge of risk control identification, risk reporting and governance processes
• Strong knowledge and experience with residential and/or commercial mortgage origination systems and platforms
• Understanding of residential and/or commercial mortgage credit as it relates to originations and operations
• Familiarity and working knowledge of residential and/or mortgage compliance requirements including TRID, QM and ATR guidelines
• Strong relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, consultative, and negotiation skills
• Ability to lead, prioritize and execute on multiple concurrent priorities/initiatives working in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision
• Ability to drive change across an organization and influence key stakeholders
• Ability to interact with all levels of management, multi-task and work well under pressure
• Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
• Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
• Ability to create tableau dashboard reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
• Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
