Your role:
Are you interested in financial markets and eager to learn how to identify potentially suspicious activity such as insider dealing and market manipulation? We’re looking for a Junior Market Conduct Analyst for the Regional Monitoring, Surveillance and Controls team based in Krakow to:
•Support investigations of potential market abuse (insider dealing and market manipulation) across automated alerting systems (e.g. SteelEye, NASDAQ Trade Surveillance, ACTIMIZE) under the guidance of senior team members.
•Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements to surveillance tools
•Assist with reviews of activity, including responses to regulator/exchange queries, using internal systems and external resources.
•Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements to surveillance tools.
•Contribute ideas to improve the surveillance framework and controls.
•Help with the implementation of department projects and initiatives.
•Assist in preparing management information reports for Senior Management.
•Receive training and mentorship from experienced colleagues to develop your skills and understanding of market conduct surveillance.

Your team
You'll be working in the Monitoring, Surveillance and Controls Team in Krakow, reporting into Switzerland, specializing in Market Conduct. We are responsible for identifying, escalating and reporting instances of potential market abuse using automated surveillance solutions. You’ll collaborate with internal and external parties such as the Business, Business Risk Management, the Regulatory Investigations Group, surveillance vendors, and IT to enhance monitoring and expand into new products and asset classes. You’ll receive ongoing training on relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. MiFID II, MAR, FINMA rules) and financial markets news.
Your expertise
•University degree (or final year student) in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
•Knowledge of Market Abuse Trade Surveillance would be an asset
•Genuine interest in financial markets and market abuse regulation.
•Strong analytical and communication skills.
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
•Previous internship, student project, or coursework in compliance, finance, or related areas is a plus, but not required.
•Willingness to learn and develop expertise in market conduct surveillance and regulatory requirements.
