We’re looking for test automation engineer to:

• Implement a test automation strategy - design and manage test packs and automate them
• manage, monitor and improve the infrastructure together with a team of automation engineers
• ability to deliver within a fast paced agile software development environment
• design, maintain, execute and report on well-structured test packs
• liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across IT teams and product owners, including international locations
• comply with the bank’s test strategy, testing standards, templates, and test plans

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance (GCRG) IT team based in Pune. Our team is responsible for developing information barrier and restricted list applications.
As a test automation engineer you'll play an important role in ensuring efficient and quick feedback loops on software quality of releases. You advocate high quality standards. Our culture centers around partnership with our businesses, transparency, accountability and empowerment, and passion for the future. We are a global IT team with locations in the US, UK, Switzerland and India while supporting internal clients throughout the world.

Your expertise

• at least 4 years of professional software test automation
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• proven hands on experience with agile development methodology
• experience tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, BDD (Behavior Driven Development), Test NG
• hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Java
• track record to maintain test frameworks and efficient, well-designed regression test packs
• self-managed and collaborative with an intrinsic drive to automate testing
• build rapport and understanding with stakeholders, strong communication and decision-making skills

How we hire

We are looking for someone to assist us in:

Developing, integrating and deploying applications throughout the estate, both frontend and backend

Developing subject matter expertise (SME) on the applications, environments and underlying business processes

Providing escalation level support for applications and services within your domain, supporting all service lifecycle phases, based on ITIL industry standard

Ensuring that applications are and remain compliant to UBS enterprise requirements, business requirements and solution designs; support and manage audit / risk assessments and their remediation as needed

Providing constant feedback
Your experience and skills:

university degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or a related field

at least 5 years of experience in holding a (senior/mid) software engineering position within a complex organization, preferably in the financial services domain. A proactive and independent work style, excellent organizational and time-management skills with Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

A solid understanding of all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (Agile, Kanban or Waterfall)

Development experience (Java/Javascript/REACT), focus on Java is a must, Groovy is a plus as well as UNIX shell scripting.

Experience in Azure cloud engineering and ETL data migration/concepts

Experience integrating in-house and 3rd party vendor products into an enterprise environment (software packaging, scripting and integrations)

Knowledge of DB concepts and hands on experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)

IT Security (authentication, authorization, CA SiteMinder, cryptography, certificate management)

High level of drive and commitment, flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments and good communication/reporting ability with fluency in english
