Your role

Join our Client Platforms team as a Backend Expert, contributing to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performing digital client-facing applications. This position is essential to the success of our 1-tier backend systems hosted on Azure, ensuring a seamless experience for users across global markets.

•Design and implement backend architecture using Java, Spring, and multithreading principles.
•Build and maintain scalable services deployed on Azure and orchestrated via AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
•Configure and manage Istio service mesh, including Helm charts, ingress/egress gateways, canary deployments, and Envoy proxy.
•Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization of backend systems.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, including international stakeholders.
•Contribute to the design of complex systems with a focus on cloud-native patterns and modern technology stacks.
•Drive continuous improvement in code quality, testing, and deployment pipelines.

Your team

You'll be working as an engineering leader in the Client Platforms crew in Poland. We are responsible for WMA (Wealth Management Americas) client facing technology applications. This leadership role entails working with teams in US, Poland, Hungary and India. You will play an important role of ensuring scalable development methodology is followed across multiple teams and participate in strategy discussions with business, and technology strategy discussions with architects. Your expertise

•Extensive experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and multithreading.
•Hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud, AKS, and containerized microservices.
•Strong knowledge of Istio configuration and operations, including Helm, ingress/egress, canary strategies, and Envoy proxy.
•Ability to design and scale complex applications hosted in cloud environments.
•Solid understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, and system reliability.
•Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating across geographies.
•Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
•Bachelor or Master degree is a must have.
