We’re looking for a mainframe engineer to:

• monitor end to end mainframe batches across multiple test environments
• resolve batch failures and triage to successful completion
• actively contribute to problem management by analyzing recurring issues and driving resolution strategies
• create and maintain detailed procedural documentation.
• analyze jobs having performance issues and coordinate with dev/infra to resolve the same
• provide daily and weekly status reports covering status of batch and problem areas
• display strong analytical, problem-solving skills
• clearly communicate technical solutions to non-technical partners across multiple regions
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Your team

In our agile operating model, Crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Wealth Management Americas Technology CTO team in Weehawken/Raleigh focusing on Mainframe batch support.

Your expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• ideally 6 years of experience in a similar position focused on batch support within the finance sector
• Interested in learning new technologies and practices and reuse strategic platforms and standards
• proficiency in technical stack/tools such as Mainframes – COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ Series
• knowledge on OPC scheduler and REXX is an added advantage
• prior experience in development or support of wealth management or other banking domain application
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, and reuse strategic platforms and standards
• effective communication with project managers, Tech Leads, and relevant stakeholders
• willing to work 2nd shift

Salary information
