Your role

We’re looking for a Product Owner to:

• Co-develop and maintain a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap for data products and analytics solutions
• Define and maintain Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) aligned to product and business strategy
• Collaborate with other Crews and Pods to build a roadmap for adoptions data products, aggregated data products to be developed, and support the State teams with expertise and frameworks to drive broad adoption across Operations
• Maintain backlog for Federal Book of Work and related artefacts
• Assess potential use cases objectively and understand business value vs cost of solution, looking to reuse or extend existing capabilities where feasible
• Influence the design of new solutions to deliver benefit for multiple stakeholders where possible
• Maintain pod and iteration backlogs in Gitlab to a high standard
• Assist with relevant data sourcing, ensuring compliance with the firms policies
• Obtain necessary governance approvals for new use cases / solutions
• Keep current with industry trends and emerging technologies in Data stream / event based architecture, and apply external perspectives and insights to improve our offering
• Mitigate impediments to the team’s goals, align across pods and with other crews where needed and act as your pod’s ambassadors towards internal stakeholders and clients

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods.
You’ll be working in our Data & Analytics PODs in India, Hyderabad location which is part of our Digital Capabilities & Core Platforms Crew within the IB Digital Operations Stream.
Your pod operates in a Federal / State construct and as the Federal team is responsible for our event streaming platform driving and delivery data products ,
working with State teams to drive the build of data products & aggregated data products.

Your expertise

• working in agile environments with strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks and product ownership (such as performing product owner role in a scrum team)
• experience in researching user pain points, and translating these into requirements
• comfortable analyzing data and making data driven decisions
• setting and delivering outcome-focused goals, such as using OKRs (Objectives and Key results)
• team player with high personal standards, enthusiastic and proactive personality, a true agile mindset and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels
• Ideally knowledgeable data governance, compliance, and operational workflows
• Ability to translate complex business needs into functional specifications

• Data Product Lifecycle Management
• Define metadata, lineage, and quality standards for functional data products.
• Monitor usage and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• focus on value creation from adoption and usage beyond the technical delivery
