Your role

Do you have in depth knowledge and expertise in private equity and private markets investing? Are you passionate about translating complex investment insights into clear, client ready narratives for sophisticated institutional investors? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of investment teams and institutional distribution to support long term client confidence and fundraising success?
If so, we’re looking for a Private Markets Investment Specialist to:

• act as the private equity and private markets subject matter expert supporting Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) across institutional clients in Asia
• participate in client meetings and technical discussions, providing deep investment and structuring expertise alongside CRMs
• translate investment team insights into high quality presentations, educational materials, and client narratives across the private equity lifecycle (venture, growth, buyout, secondaries, co investments)
• explain complex private equity concepts including fund structures, capital calls, distributions, J curve effects, performance attribution, liquidity, and risk considerations
• work closely with the Private Equity investment vertical to ensure investment thinking, portfolio developments, and performance drivers are accurately reflected in client engagement
• support fundraising and capital raising initiatives, including RFPs, DDQs, bespoke client analyses, roadshows, and institutional events
• monitor institutional investor trends in Asia, providing structured feedback on client needs, objections, and competitive dynamics to investment, product, and distribution teams

Your team

You’ll be working within the Institutional Investment Specialists Asia platform, based in Asia (e.g. Hong Kong or Singapore). The team is responsible for supporting institutional client engagement across the region by delivering investment led, technically robust private markets content.

As a Private Markets Investment Specialist, you’ll work closely with Client Relationship Managers and Private Equity investment teams, acting as a bridge between portfolio management and institutional distribution to ensure consistency, credibility, and depth in all client interactions.
The team operates in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, where intellectual curiosity, partnership, and shared ownership of client outcomes are highly valued.

Your expertise

• ideally 8+ years’ experience in the financial sector with a strong focus on private equity and private markets
• in depth understanding of private equity strategies, fund economics, governance, and performance measurement
• proven experience in an investment specialist, investor relations, product, or institutional advisory role, working in close partnership with relationship managers
• strong ability to synthesize complex investment content into concise, compelling messages for sophisticated institutional audiences
• proactive self starter with strong attention to detail and high standards for quality
• collaborative mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross functional environment
• excellent communicator with a strong client service orientation
• fluency in English required; additional Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin, Korean) are a strong advantage. A bachelor’s degree required
