Your role
Are you detail orientated, have experience working with broad spectrum of methodologies and can apply these to answer research questions? Are you interested using your market research skills to support investment banking equity research analysts in answering key questions important to our clients? We're looking for [China Tech Analyst] to:
• Conduct valuation analysis within an industry, sector, or asset class in Technology sector
• Convert industry knowledge into understandable investment opinions
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate historical information and generate projections
• Provide investment recommendations based on modeling, valuation and risk assessments
• Remain current on market developments to help frame investment strategies

You'll be working in the Equity Research team in Hong Kong/Shanghai. We are open and energetic team. We work close with corporates and clients.

Your expertise
You have:
• At least 3 years of equity research experience regarding China Tech Sector in either sell-side or buy-side institution. Prior industry experience in related tech supply chain company is a plus.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the global AI and tech hardware industry, as well as the evolving dynamics of the technology roadmap, competitive landscape, etc.
• A good handle on accounting, including reviewing and interpreting annual reports and financial statements
• Solid know-how of Microsoft Excel
• An excellent communicator, able to educate through the creation of innovative reports and presentations (you love this stuff, and it shows)
• Inquisitive, organized and able to work independently
• Fluent in English
You are:
• Creative in designing research to meet clients' information needs and budgets;
• Able to explain market research principles and interpret findings for clients with little market research experience;
• Currently working at an Associate Director, or Director level at a research agency or equivalent in-house on the client-side.
• Bi-lingual in Mandarin and English with strong verbal and written communication skills in both
