Your role
Are you gifted at assessing value and risk? Do you love to give advice, as well as educate? We’re looking for someone like that who can:
– conduct company research and valuation analysis in listed Korean banks and financial institutions
– analyze key banking metrics (e.g., NIM, asset quality, capital adequacy, loan growth) to derive clear investment insights
– build and maintain financial models for banks and financial institutions, including earnings forecasts, balance sheet projections, and capital analysis
– compare valuation and market price to draw sensible and understandable investment opinions
– provide investment recommendations based on modeling, valuation and risk assessments in an effective, convincing manner
– develop and maintain cooperative professional relationship with portfolio managers
– remain current on market developments to help frame investment strategies
– stay up to date on macro trends, regulatory changes, interest rate movements, and financial sector developments to support investment strategies

Your team
You’ll be working with the Equity Research team in Seoul, Korea. The team is hard working but fun loving. We deliver coordinated research perspective across sectors, regions and geographies to help our clients in their investment making process.
Your expertise
You have:
– experience as research analyst in investment management or investment banking for 8-12 years at least, and preferably covering banks or financial institutions
– a good handle on accounting, including reviewing and interpreting annual reports and financial statements
– solid know-how of Microsoft Excel
– Korean investment advisory/management license required.
– MBA or post-graduated educational background
– CFA preferred
You are:
– an excellent communicator, able to educate through the creation of innovative reports and presentations
– inquisitive, organized and able to work independently
– fluent in Korean and English
