We’re seeking a clear communicator with creative energy and a collaborative, adaptable mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable partnering with diverse teams to deliver outcomes that drive meaningful results. The role will require the candidate to:
provide leadership across specialized product teams to ensure the successful operation, enhancement, and growth of strategically important data products
work with research analysts and investors to help them incorporate alternative data products into their investment process
collaborate with a global team of researchers, engineers, data scientists and sales
transform large structured and unstructured data sets into scalable analytical solutions and actionable insights
monitor and improve the quality of underlying data sets collected from multiple sources
establish and promote best practices, including the effective adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows, and drive adoption across the team

UBS Evidence Lab is a global leader in alternative data and primary research for financial markets. Our multidisciplinary team includes data and software engineers, quantitative researchers, social media specialists, and commercial experts—all focused on turning complex data into high conviction investment evidence.
You will be working within Evidence Lab in London as part of the Product Design team. Evidence Lab is charged with helping clients make better decisions through data. The Product Design team leads and executes high impact projects that support the business objectives of Evidence Lab and Global Research.
Your expertise
- degree from an accredited college / university
- 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained in equity sell-side research, buy-side research, consulting, or at an alternative data provider
- exposure to financial markets and understanding of financial statement analyses
- advanced excel skills preferred
- experience with SQL, Python preferred
- intellectually curious with strong analytic, quantitative, and critical reasoning skills
