Your role
Are you an ambitious analyst looking for your next career step? If so, then perhaps you are the Investment Strategist we are seeking in our CIO APAC credit team to:
- focus on the Asia ex-Japan corporate and sovereign bond market (hard and local currencies, including SGD, AUD, CNH and HKD)
- develop a bottom-up credit analysis framework for covered issuers, including financial models
- make relative value recommendations on bonds under coverage to outperform a specified benchmark
- publish written reports on credit strategy, issuer updates, and spearhead thematic ideas
- communicate views via written reports on credit strategy, issuer updates, and spearhead thematic ideas; CIO House View strategy to both internal stakeholders and external clients, in particular rates and credit views
- work with Investment Counsellors and Advisors on pitches and reviewing client portfolios
- support the team in maintaining the integrity of internal bond databases

Your team
You will part of the UBS Chief Investment Office (CIO) GWM team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong. We drive the investment decisions of UBS Global Wealth Management via a systematic investment process that makes use of the best internal and external experts across regions and asset classes. The decision of the CIO – the UBS House View – is implemented in advisory and discretionary portfolios within UBS Global Wealth Management. The CIO APAC Credit team is responsible for driving the bottom up and sector views for bonds across the APAC region. The team covers over 250 issuers across more than 10 countries in Asia.
Your expertise
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- at least 8 years of experience in Asia credit, with a desire to understand how the entire ecosystem functions beyond your covered issuers. ; good understanding of Asia credit index components to evaluate potential risk-reward on a broader level
- grounded foundation in understanding the rates market and how it affects the credit universe
- strong analytical skills and financial market knowledge, with a broader view of asset allocation
- confident presenter both on and off stage, presenting views to a variety of audiences
- excellent command of both written and spoken English, be able to write succinctly to bring across points in an effective manner ; business Mandarin is a plus .
- proficiency in Bloomberg and other databases (Data Query, CapitalIQ) is a plus
- you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
