Your role

Are you a strategic thinker with deep expertise in financing solutions and a strong track record in senior client advisory? UBS is seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Banking team in Sydney within Debt Advisory.
In this role, you will provide strategic advice on capital structure and financing, utilising global bank and capital markets to achieve efficient and sustainable outcomes for clients. You will play a key role in driving advisory-led opportunities and delivering high-quality execution across mandates.

Your responsibilities:
• Originate and lead execution of complex debt advisory mandates, including refinancing, acquisition financing and capital structure optimisation
• Structure and negotiate tailored financing solutions, managing engagement with lenders and investors to achieve optimal terms and market outcomes
• Drive business development and pipeline generation, leveraging relationships to originate new advisory opportunities across public and private market clients
• Lead end-to-end transaction processes, coordinating internal product partners and external stakeholders
• Oversee deal execution and team delivery, ensuring high-quality analytical output, client materials and mentoring of junior bankers

Your team

You’ll be part of the Global Banking team in Sydney—one of the leading platforms regionally and globally. The team partners closely across sector coverage and product groups to deliver innovative, cross-border financing solutions to a diverse client base, supported by strong transaction activity across bank and capital markets.

Your expertise

• Extensive experience (typically 12–15+ years) in investment banking, debt advisory or leveraged finance, with a focus on capital structure and financing solutions
• Proven track record originating and executing complex debt transactions across bank and capital markets, including leveraged and structured finance
• Strong client relationship skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and independently originate business
• Advanced analytical, structuring and negotiation capabilities with strong commercial judgement
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing deal teams and developing junior talent
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
