Your role
Are you an advocate of effective risk management and seen as a risk partner by your internal clients? Do you know how to make the right call in challenging situations in an international location? Are you keen to use your risk knowledge and experience to help ensure the sustainable growth of the GWM Brazil?
We’re looking for someone like that who can:
• advice, support and challenge Business Head in managing risk effectively to ensure a solid governance structure and foster a strong risk culture.
• keep abreast of regulatory changes and their impact, and proactively engage with functional partners to ensure that the required controls, policies, standards, processes are implemented to ensure compliance
• provide risk expertise on the GWM operational risk framework, risk assessments, risk governance, and global control and policy frameworks
• provide transparent reporting on risk topics via regular risk updates at the local management committee, risk committee and any additional meeting with front office colleagues in Brazil or Switzerland.
• steer the location to be prepared for audits / control reviews and monitor or lead the remediation of audit-related, Regulatory and self-identified issues.
• lead the design and implementation of controls, policies, standards, processes and coordinate the local implementation to ensure that the location is compliant with regulatory and UBS requirements, where applicable. Explore opportunities to review current processes with a view to increase efficiency and drive innovation forward
• undertake risk-focused controls across business divisions and functions. Investigate in case of incidents, including misconduct in close coordination with other/independent functions
• manage key administrative tasks such as business reporting, progress tracking and ad hoc presentations
• participate actively in initiatives and projects with immediate impact on the business and the regional governance

Your expertise
• university degree (bachelor/master) in Business Administration, Finance or similar
• at least 5 years of work experience in the financial industry, within business risk, risk control, business management, strategy consulting, risk management, audit, compliance or other relevant functions
• the ability to execute controls and a good appreciation of risk assessment methodologies.
• a good knowledge of the GWM business/processes and its inherent key risks.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI skills are desirable
• good communication skills in English and Portuguese
• work in person in São Paulo
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
