Your role
Are you an experienced lawyer with a digital mindset, capable and willing to help us provide a truly seamless client experience? Are your solution oriented and can you think 'out of the box' when supporting new products development? Do you have solid legal knowledge of banking and financial services regulations in various European (Swiss and/or English) jurisdictions?
We are looking for a person who:
-Is familiar with and advises on all legal matters regarding structured and syndicated financings with a focus on Swiss and English law governed cash flow based loan agreements and related documents, further experience in export financing would be a plus
-analyses rules and regulations of investment markets regarding custody account structures / restrictions
-reviews and negotiates agreements with financial service providers such as custodians, correspondent banks and brokers
-actively contributes to strategic business projects aimed at structuring and development of new banking products with both internal and external partners
-provides clear and precise legal advice to our business partners and other risk functions.

Your team
You will work in Personal and Corporate & Wealth Management Switzerland legal team, cooperating directly with highly skilled legal teams within, in particular Transaction Banking Legal, Operations, Custody & Execution, Digital Transformation, Strategic Projects and Legal Entity. We provide our business partners with high-quality, coherent advise and tailor-made solutions.
Your expertise
- a master’s degree in law. Bar admission or additional relevant education (e.g. LL.M.) is a plus.
- 2-3 years as a lawyer in a bank, other financial institution or international law firm, preferably in the field of transactions and/or custody services
- familiarity with additional jurisdiction (English and/or Swiss law) is a plus
- expertise in corporate lending (including acquisition financing) with a focus on participations in syndicated loans will be an additional advantage
- expertise in LMA loan documentation and contracts with brokers / custodians / correspondent banks is very welcome
- Interest in digital and strategic projects/management and affinity towards new technologies
- good problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for both the details and the big picture, able to identify and manage risks in a new and evolving business
- an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate and manage internal business partners and functions as well as external legal counsels, also in other locations
- ability to define and complete tasks independently. A willingness to learn, take ownership and make decisions
- fluency in spoken and written English required. Very good knowledge in other languages such as German, French or Italian is an asset (spoken and in writing)
