Your role
Can you optimise balance sheet usage while supporting front-office trading performance? Are you confident translating liquidity and regulatory constraints into commercially actionable insights?
We’re looking for a Financing LRD & Trading Analytics Associate to:
• act as a senior front office partner to the trading desk, supporting positioning, funding strategy, and trade economics
• provide execution and coverage for structured client trades, including booking, lifecycle management, and front-to-back coordination
• analyse balance sheet usage, funding costs, and return metrics to optimise desk performance
• apply expertise in LRD, liquidity frameworks (LCR), and regulatory constraints to trading and financing activity
• lead and support FOS optimisation strategies, including S&U attribution and performance analytics
• deliver advanced analytics and reporting across funding P&L, collateral efficiency, liquidity, and client profitability

You’ll be working in the Financing / Funding & Optimisation Solutions (FOS) team in London, focusing on optimising funding efficiency, balance sheet usage, and trading analytics across Global Markets. We provide critical funding and balance sheet optimisation capabilities that enhance pricing, improve capital efficiency, and support business performance across Global Markets. This benefits our internal trading desks, client franchise, and broader markets businesses by enabling more efficient use of balance sheet and overall profitability.
As a Financing LRD & Trading Analytics Associate, you’ll play an important role in driving desk optimisation, supporting structured client activity, and enhancing analytics and attribution frameworks across financing businesses.
Your expertise
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use
• deep expertise in secured funding markets, including repo, reverse repo, and stock lending
• strong understanding of Equity & FI products, market conventions, and client flow dynamics
• demonstrated front-to-back trading knowledge across execution, booking, settlement, collateral, and risk
• strong understanding of balance sheet management, including LRD constraints and optimisation
• solid knowledge of liquidity risk frameworks (including LCR) and their application to front office decision-making
• proven ability to translate regulatory and treasury constraints into actionable insights
• experience delivering analytics in a trading or financing environment
• advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools is highly advantageous
• experience working with trading, risk, P&L, and collateral systems
• confident stakeholder engagement with trading, risk, treasury, and senior partners
• strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
