Key responsibilities
Are you curious about how a global financial institution manages risk and strengthens its control environment? Do you enjoy analyzing data, understanding business processes, and solving complex problems?
Do you want to develop skills in internal audit, risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance while working alongside experienced auditors?
We're looking for an Internal Audit Intern to:
• support audit engagements across UBS businesses and functions in Latin America throughout planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases
• perform audit testing and document results under the guidance of experienced auditors
• assist in risk assessments, control evaluations, and walkthroughs of key business processes
• analyze data using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot to identify trends, exceptions, and potential control issues
• contribute to the review of governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
• assist with the preparation of clear and concise audit workpapers, presentations, and reporting materials
• support monitoring of regulatory developments and emerging risks impacting the region
• collaborate with auditors and business stakeholders across different countries and functions within UBS

The team
You'll join Group Internal Audit (GIA), an independent function that helps UBS achieve its strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives by assessing governance, risk management, and control processes across the firm.
GIA provides independent assurance to senior management and the Board and plays a key role in maintaining a strong risk and control culture. In Latin America, the team supports audit coverage across multiple businesses and functions while responding to an evolving regulatory and risk landscape.
Your skills and experience
• currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field, with graduation expected in July 2028 or later.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• interest in audit, risk management, compliance, governance, or financial services
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with Power BI, data analytics tools, or AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot is a plus
• ability to organize and analyze information from multiple sources and draw logical conclusions
• strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese
• proactive, curious, and willing to learn in a dynamic and collaborative environment
• ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
