•Perform backtest on Quantitative Investment Strategies across asset classes by developing/utilizing backtesting tools and template

•Perform bespoke analysis upon clients' request

•Produce performance report of UBS QIS

•Develop new strategies and take it through entire lifecycle including idea generation, backtesting, tradability assessment, index manual production, liaising with internal Quants and 3rd party calculation agents for implementation

•Ensure that all strategies comply with regulations, internal compliance and are of sound construction

•Create rulebooks and marketing materials for QIS strategies, and get involved in marketing efforts

•Keep abreast on market movement and track the performance of major strategies

The team

The QIS Platform Team is a core function within Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS), responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, independent validation, governance, and lifecycle management of QIS strategies and indices.
The team acts as the bridge between Structuring, Trading, Quants, Technology, and external calculation agents, ensuring that every strategy moves from design and implementation to production operation in a controlled, scalable, and auditable manner. We provide a scalable, controlled, and independent operating framework that enables QIS to deliver innovative investment strategies safely, efficiently, and at scale while maintaining the highest standards of governance, transparency, and operational excellence.

Your skills and experience

•Basic understanding of financial markets , particularly derivatives, and a desire to develop a career in the structuring space

•Strong programing skills, experience in Python is required, and exposure to object-oriented programming (OOP) is preferred

•Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint



•Strong interest and experience in the application of AI and LLM

•Strong ability in communicating in English

•Able to work on multiple tasks whilst meeting tight deadlines

•Self-motivated with independent thinking and practical mindset

•Attention to details
