Key responsibilities

We’re looking for a fixed income research analyst to:
• Conduct detailed fundamental credit analysis of APAC financial and corporate issuers, across the rating spectrum
• Monitor and research relevant economic, industry and company data, including company filings, transcripts and quarterly results
• Make investment recommendations and provide credit updates to global portfolio management teams, as well as to external clients when required
• Monitor existing portfolio holdings and proactively generate trade ideas for portfolio implementation
• Work with analysts and portfolio managers across the globe to collaborate on investment ideas, Including relative value opportunities across the capital structure
• Embrace AI to enhance and help evolve the research process
• Build relationships across the fixed income platform and UBS Asset Management, as well as with sell-side analysts, and company management

The team

You’ll be working in the Fixed Income Research Team in Sydney. Singapore and Hong with a seasoned group of analysts. Our team is responsible for identifying well researched, original and actionable investment ideas. As a credit analyst, you will play a vital role in further enhancing our fixed income research capabilities.

Your skills and experience

• Solid knowledge and interest in financial markets
• Experience at asset management firm or investment bank, preferrable within fixed income
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbally and written
• Self-starter and fast learner
• Willingness to embrace AI
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, complete tasks independently, and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and programming experience of statistical software applications (R, Python, etc.) a plus
• Bachelor’s degree, CFA (or progress towards) a plus
