Key responsibilities

In this role you will be part of the Group External Communications team during a pivotal time for the bank. You will support the planning of media activities and provide hands-on support across key briefs. The role is based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Your role:
- Help develop and execute media relations strategies and plans and prepare materials such as media statements, Q&As, briefing documents and executive talking points
- Act as the team’s focal point for Artificial Intelligence, supporting Group Corporate Communications’ efforts to develop and implement an effective Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy
- Support the Head Group External Communications with activities such as defining, reviewing and evaluating media performance indicators and coordinating cross-functional projects

The team

Group External Communications is a small team that works closely with the bank’s senior leadership and colleagues in Group Corporate Communications and beyond to design and implement the Group’s external positioning.

The team advises on and actively manages communications with global media organizations to promote and manage executive positioning, corporate, financial and regulatory topics, as well as legal matters.

Your skills and experience

- at least five years’ experience in media relations, journalism or communications consulting, preferably related to financial services
- familiarity with Swiss and international media environment
- full professional fluency in German and English, both spoken and written
- knowledge of an and affinity for AI and technology-related topics
- a structured and analytical approach and strong project management skills; the ability to deal with complex topics that arise at group level within a global bank
- strong dedication and high reliability, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a large matrix organization
