We are looking for a highly driven, analytical, forward-thinking individual to join our APAC COO team in Shanghai, China, to support and help maintain a robust and well-controlled operating environment for Unified Global Markets (UGM), Global Markets Distribution APAC.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing periodic controls under the pre-defined control plans for UGM Business;
- Investigate and escalation of finding(s) being observed from the control review;
- Prepare control summary for escalation to UGM Management and relevant governance forum(s);
- Identify potential opportunities to automate and simplify the existing control plans to improve efficiency and aligning risk control frameworks globally

The team

The UGM Global Markets COO Distribution APAC team is a highly strategic team that is responsible for the formulation, implementation and support initiatives, overseeing business operation and processes and controls that impact our client’s experience. You will have broad exposure across UGM Global Markets in other regions in APAC and globally as well as Global Wealth Management.

As part of the team, you will have a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of strategic plans & changes across all product segments. This includes Equity, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Direct Access Clients, and Sales Distribution. Each of these product segments presents unique opportunities and challenges, which the COO team contributions will be instrumental in helping us meet our business targets and ambitions, alongside managing our daily business operations in the APAC region.

Your skills and experience

- Relevant experience in Global markets or Front Office support functions within a financial institution;
- Analytical and capable of presenting and interpreting information to support decision making;
- Liaising and coordinating key stakeholders across various divisions and functions;
- Manage multiple priorities, and ensure completion of deliverables in a timely fashion;
- A high degree of integrity, open, honest and direct communication
- Proficiency in AI-powered tools to automate routine tasks, PowerPoint ,SharePoint, Excel
