Key responsibilities

Are you a motivated self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail? Can you operate with moderate supervision and contribute effectively? We’re looking for a financial reporting specialist to join our team:

Regulatory Reporting and Engagement:
• Act as key liaison with local regulators / auditors and global reporting teams
• Lead preparation, review, and submission of all regulatory returns to the Central Bank, Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and other regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local and international regulatory reporting requirements
• Maintain reporting governance, documentation, methodologies, assumptions, and interpretation papers
• Coordinate daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly regulatory reporting cycles
• Provide analysis and commentary for significant movements in regulatory metrics
• Lead implementation of new reporting requirements and regulatory reforms
• Support new business initiatives, system and process changes, and regulatory changes in the capacity of a Financial Reporting Specialist

Other Key Entity Controlling Activities:
• Assist in preparing materials for audits and annual financial statements
• Ensure ledger integrity and manage financial operations tasks; support the monthly financial close and head office daily deliverables
• Prepare and provide management information and internal reports to local management committees and stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and supervisory/governance roles

The team

You’ll be part of the Finance Entity Controlling team in UBS AG Taipei Branch, based in Taipei. Our focus is on financial reporting for regulatory and statutory purposes. We play a key role in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and local regulations, as well as fulfilling entity controlling requirements from a UBS group perspective.

Your skills and experience

• Accounting qualification (Certified Public Accountant) or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a focus on accounting
• 7+ or more years of experience in Taiwan banking industry and at least 3 year experience directly with banks regulatory reporting in Taiwan
• Knowledge and good understanding of local regulatory, tax rules, banking products, bank balance sheets and wealth management business
• Senior Securities Specialist license (證券商高級業務員) is preferred, but not mandatory
• Diligent, striving for excellence, and proactive in improving processes and addressing challenges
• Interest or proficiency in using various AI tools (ie: Microsoft Copilot) in your work
• Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin
