Our Private Wealth Management team is seeking a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate who thrives on market analysis, investment research, and client engagement. This individual will play a key role in our investment platform, helping drive portfolio implementation, research, trading, and client communication for high-net-worth families and business owners.

What You'll Do
• Serve as the team's portfolio management and investment function lead
• Oversee and execute trading activity across client portfolios
• Conduct research on asset classes, investment managers, and portfolio strategies
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve client outcomes
• Listen to manager calls, market updates, and strategy discussions, translating insights into portfolio recommendations and client communications
• Lead investment committee discussions and strategic portfolio reviews
• Join client meetings and calls to explain portfolio positioning, market developments, and drivers of performance
• Help clients understand periods of underperformance and outperformance while reinforcing long-term investment objectives
• Partner with Financial Advisors to develop customized investment solutions aligned with client goals and risk tolerance
• Support the continued enhancement of our team's investment platform and research process

You'll be working within the La Jolla Private Wealth Management office, providing comprehensive wealth management services to business owners, entrepreneurs, ultra-high-net-worth families, and multi-generational families. Our team delivers sophisticated planning, investment, and advisory solutions tailored to each client's unique goals and circumstances.
This is an opportunity to lead our investment process, influence portfolio outcomes, and work directly with sophisticated clients. If you're energized by markets, enjoy investment research and portfolio strategy, and want to help clients make informed decisions through every market cycle, we'd love to meet you.
Your skills and experience
• Experience in wealth management, portfolio management, investment research, or a related field
• Strong understanding of capital markets, portfolio construction, and investment theory
• Demonstrated understanding of portfolio construction across taxable and qualified accounts, with experience evaluating and discussing cash, fixed income, public equities, private equity, private credit, private real estate, and other alternative investment strategies
• Ability to analyze portfolio performance and communicate investment recommendations clearly and effectively
• Passion for financial markets and ongoing investment education
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to explain complex investment concepts in a clear and relatable manner
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment
• CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter strongly preferred

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - California - La Jolla min USD 75000 - max USD 105000 /annum
The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
