Do you have experience with Alternative Investments and can multi-task and prioritize complex topics? Do you want to make a meaningful impact while delivering solutions during tremendous change and transformation?

UBS is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to help lead our Alternative Investments department, specifically seeking professionals who can quickly learn processes and add value by implementing best practices in Operations.

Within the Alternative Investments team you will:

• be responsible for front-to-back service delivery and transaction capture for high priority fund relationships
• drive and implement process excellence initiatives, as well as strategic change with the onboarding of third party solutions to automate legacy processes.
• evaluate risk management procedures with a focus on continuous improvement
• chair daily operating calls Alternative Investments business, technology, and operations staff to ensure risk remains well managed and our clients remain happy

Perform mandatory daily functions of:

• oversee the capture of key events (Capital Calls, Redemptions, NAV pricing)
• supervision of Fee Processing and Balancing
• supervision of Transaction Capture
• supervisory review of Ledgers, Events, and Trades
• tracking of Key Events w/ Outreach to relationship managers of key fund partners
• vendor management (Broadridge / iCapital)
• process Improvement

The team

The Alternative Investments Operations team supports the full front-to-back trade, client, and asset lifecycle for Private Equity and Hedge fund products. We work closely with our branch (Financial Advisors) and business partners to support business growth, manage key risk, and provide top-tier service to our Wealth Management clients. The team is currently engaged in a number of strategic efforts to automate the current operating model and to unlock business growth, providing great experience for professionals seeking to make a lasting impact on a great team.

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years of applicable work experience
• track record of process improvement, project work, or similar experience
• strong experience in either Process Improvement OR Alternative Investments is required. Both is a big plus
• recognize and effectively manage risk
• precisely execute detail oriented tasks
• prioritize multiple issues while delivering within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• develop a deep understanding of trading processes and the systems used to execute them
• project management experience a plus
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New Jersey - Weehawken min USD 200000 - max USD 275000 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
