Key responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Subject Matter Expert to support the ampliFi transformation program. The role will focus on SAP Finance and Controlling capabilities, General Ledger processes, integration with surrounding finance applications, data flows, interfaces, and business process alignment across the finance technology landscape.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Technology, Architecture, Data Sourcing, Controls, and Delivery teams to define, validate, implement, and support SAP-based finance solutions within the ampliFi project environment.

The team

You'll be working within UBS Finance Technology, joining a global dynamic scrum team of Business & Technical Analysts. We are supporting local and global projects for various business units of UBS AG. Our mission: to find solutions for strategic business challenges, analysis of current processes and functionalities, implementing best in class solutions for customers and UBS business.

Your skills and experience

• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

•SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Consultant with minimum 7+ years of strong expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Controlling (CO) processes, supporting end-to-end finance transformation and ERP modernization initiatives.

•hands-on experience in configuring and supporting SAP S/4HANA Finance, including journal postings, financial close, month-end activities, currency revaluation, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
•extensive knowledge of Universal Journal (ACDOCA), ledger concepts, document splitting, parallel accounting, and multi-GAAP reporting within SAP S/4HANA Finance.
•strong expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) including cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, WBS elements, allocations, assessments, settlements, and cost reporting.
•skilled in analyzing finance requirements and translating business needs into functional specifications, process designs, configuration solutions, and SAP best practices.
•experience managing source-to-ledger data flows, posting logic, reconciliation processes, data validation, transformation rules, and finance data integration into SAP General Ledger and related subledgers.
•proven experience with SAP FI/CO integrations across modules including MM, SD, Asset Accounting (AA), Project Systems (PS), Treasury, Group Reporting, and MDG, ensuring seamless end-to-end finance processes.
•strong background in finance interfaces and integrations, including inbound/outbound data flows, SAP-to-SAP connectivity, API integrations, file-based interfaces, error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation controls.
•experienced in supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, test documentation, business sign-off, and audit/compliance requirements for SAP Finance implementations.
•adept at supporting cutover planning, go-live activities, hypercare support, production readiness, and post-implementation stabilization for large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs.
