Key responsibilities

We’re looking for a Execution Trader to:

• execute transactions across Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETDs), Funds and Hedge Funds, ensuring precision and adherence to market best practices
• execute hedging of client-related FX and Money Market transactions, working within internal frameworks such as FX booking policies
• support complex and bespoke client trading needs, ensuring exceptional service quality and outcomes tailored to UHNW and institutional client demands
• maintain a client first mentality, coordinating closely with Client Advisors and cross asset specialists
• ensure highest levels of client satisfaction across all execution-related services
• manage and mitigate risks related to execution, including transactional, operational, and market related risks
• proactively monitor electronic gateways, including Smart Order Routing (SOR), internal platforms, broker connectivity, and FIX relationships
• liaise with Front Units and Operations Teams to ensure accurate and timely post trade processing, resolution of breaks, and adherence to market specific settlement cycles
• maintain a close working relationship with Asset Class specialists at UBS AG Zurich, ensuring best execution, product alignment, market color sharing, and issue resolution

The team

You will be working as part of the Global Markets Execution team in Luxembourg within our Investment Bank- Execution Hub. We are responsible for delivering exceptional execution and service to our most sophisticated clients. As an Execution Trader, you'll be part of a dynamic team which offer high touch order handling and execution services, supported by robust technology. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, manage different trading systems, and ensure compliance with both local and global regulations.

Your skills and experience

• university degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• minimum 5 years’ experience in the financial industry, ideally within an execution-related function (e.g., multi asset execution, FX/MM hedging, electronic trading, order management)
• familiarity with market leading execution and data platforms, such as:
o Bloomberg (e.g., EMSX, TSOX)
o Swiskey
o Key Trader
o OBS
• comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneously and understanding their role in the trade lifecycle
• an effective communicator, able to interact confidently with internal stakeholders, asset class specialists, and Client Advisors
• client and sales oriented mindset, always focused on delivering top tier execution service
• a multitasker who thrives in fast moving environments – not just able to handle variability, but energized by days where no two are the same
• highly organized, with strong attention to detail
• proactive risk manager, committed to contributing to a zero error culture
• a resilient team player who stays calm under pressure and collaborates effectively across functions
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use
• fluency in English
• knowledge of German, French, or Italian will be considered a significant advantage
