• sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and managing CRA-qualified lending and investment activities
• primary focus on affordable housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investments
• partner with CRA Officer and internal stakeholders to support the Bank's CRA strategy
• achieve CRA performance objectives
• maintain safe and sound risk management practices

You will be part of the UBS Bank USA, N.A. Community Reinvestment Act team based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Your skills and experience
Required Qualifications
• Extensive Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience, including investment origination, underwriting, due diligence, transaction structuring, portfolio management, and relationship management with developers, syndicators, and other affordable housing stakeholders.
• Ideally 5–7 years of experience in affordable housing finance, community development finance, CRA investments, commercial real estate lending, or related banking functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in CRA-qualified lending and investment activities, including a strong working knowledge of CRA regulations, examination processes, and strategic planning.
• Strong financial analysis, credit underwriting, investment evaluation, and risk assessment skills.
• Experience preparing investment and credit memoranda for committee review and approval.
• Maintain and strengthen CRA lending and investment policies and procedures, including leading the development and implementation of new LIHTC investment procedures and related governance frameworks.
• Support the development, implementation, and ongoing execution of the Bank's CRA strategy, including monitoring performance against strategic objectives, evaluating regulatory developments, and providing recommendations to enhance CRA performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level presentations and reports.
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior CRA examination or regulatory compliance experience.
• Knowledge of community development lending programs, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, and other affordable housing financing structures.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certification.
