Key responsibilities

UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking an Authorized Officer, Software Engineer in Morrisville, NC.

We’re looking for an Authorized Officer, Software Engineer to:

• Develop web applications as a full stack Java developer.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions. Gather and assess requirements, analyze services and data, and deliver tested, secure, and stable applications.
• Diagnose system errors and implement fixes. Provide support to users throughout the User Acceptance Testing process.
• Design and build software components within an agile framework, reviewing requirements and collaborating with impacted teams. Identify and work with people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work with global IT and cross-functional groups to support agile delivery. Can work hybrid(In-office/Remote).

Your skills and experience

Education & Experience Requirement
• This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or a related occupation.

Alternate Education & Experience Requirement (if applicable)
• Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or a related occupation.

Position requires experience with the following:
• JAVA; JavaScript; SQL; Spring Boot; Spring JPA; Spring Framework; Microservices; NodeJS; ReactJS; RESTful Webservices; HTML5; CSS3; JUNIT; PostgreSQL Database; Tools and technologies including IntelliJ Idea, Maven, Nexus, NPM, Git, GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, Docker, Azure, and Kubernetes.
